Mom is moving in the next couple weeks up to Fort Collins. Leaving the house I grew up in has been hard; so I asked mom for a few of the rocks from our yard. These rocks actually used to be part of the rock wall in our front yard. The wall has hens and chicks all over it. I have fond memories of pulling out "baby chicks" and putting them in different places in the wall. So now I have a piece of home...at my new home.

Updated picture of the garden. I just harvested most of the lettuce (you can still see some of the light green lettuce up front) for Samy's birthday party salad--made entirely of veggies from my garden. On the left are the anaheim chiles which we grilled for the burgers. You can also see the celery in the front, center. In the back are my soy beans. The sugar snap peas were harvested a couple weeks ago.

This is my "tower of cucumbers."

My first cantaloupe! Pretty teeny now...I'll keep you updated. Let me know if you like cantaloupe, as you'll see from the next picture, I could wind up with a lot of it!

This is the tiny garden Amy & I created earlier this summer. The artichoke is taking over the planet--back right. The orange flowers are Nasturtuim which is trying to compete for a little sunlight. the cantaloupe is spreading out and shows no signs of slowing. You can't see it anymore, but it seems that my peanut plants are still in there, right, front.
Saddest thing is that the tomatoes have really struggled to recover much from the fungus earlier this spring. I have treated them over and over, but boy they are still struggling.
As always--feel free to stop by, grab a cucumber, a few carrots, :-)
